5 Of The Best Live Music Events In The Coach And Horses Abergavenny
From the madness and magic of Coach Fest 2, we thought it was about time to look back at some of the best live music nights we’ve ever hosted at The Coach and Horses, Abergavenny.
Over the years, our beer garden has been shaken by incredible bands, electrified by DJs, and filled with unforgettable performances that had everyone singing, dancing, and soaking up the good vibes.
So grab a pint, take a scroll, and relive some of our favourite musical moments from the pub that never stops delivering great nights. Who knows, you might even spot yourself in the crowd…
Gig for MIND – Remembering Turbo
At the end of July, we came together to remember our mate Sean “Turbo” Thomas with a gig raising money for Mind Monmouthshire. It was a special night full of emotion, music, and community spirit — the perfect way to celebrate someone who meant so much to the Coach & Horses family.
The pub was buzzing with live music in Abergavenny, as bands took to the stage bringing energy, laughter, and tunes that had everyone tapping their feet. From the first chord to the last encore, the atmosphere was electric, with friends and regulars sharing stories, raising a pint, and remembering all the good times with Turbo.
To say thank you for supporting the cause, anyone donating £10 or more received an exclusive T-shirt designed by Foolsgold MFG. Supporters could either collect their T-shirt in person at the pub or have it sent straight to their door — a little keepsake to remember the night and the cause they helped support.
The event wasn’t just about music — it was about coming together as a community, sharing memories, and making a real difference. Mind Monmouthshire does incredible work supporting people with mental health struggles, and the night helped raise funds and awareness for this vital charity.
It was a night full of laughter, tears, and unforgettable moments — exactly the kind of evening that captures the heart of the Coach & Horses. From start to finish, the gig reminded everyone why the pub isn’t just a place for a drink, but a place for connection, community, and memories that last a lifetime.
