The Coach and Horses mobile bar

Wedding Mobile Bar Hire Across South Wales

The venue is booked. The photographer is sorted. Now let’s make the bar the easiest decision you make.

Bring the Coach and Horses to Your Event

From arrival drinks to the last round of the night, we bring a full working pub bar to your wedding venue. Draught beer, cocktails, toast drinks, games and a team who know exactly what they are doing.

What We Cover: Full Wedding Drinks Service

A wedding bar is not just the evening. Here is what we can cover across your whole day:

Not every couple needs all of this. We build the package around your day. Tell us what you need and we will tell you exactly how to make it work.

Why Choose The Coach and Horses For Your Wedding

A team your guests will trust from the first drink

The Coach and Horses team have been running a working pub bar in Abergavenny for years. On your wedding day, you get the same people who do this every week. Not a hired crew assembled for the occasion. The team who know exactly what they are doing.

The buy-back guarantee

Plan generously without worrying about waste. If your guests drink less than expected, we buy back any unopened, sealed bottles after the event at cost price. Draught stock is not included, but for bottled beer, wine and spirits, you only pay for what was consumed.

Draught beer, properly served

Bottles are fine for a garden party. For a wedding reception, draught beer served cold from the tap looks and feels different. We bring full draught setups: Staropramen, Madri, Carling, Guinness, Felinfoel, Atlantic Pale Ale, Cold River Cider and Rekorderlig. Your guests get a proper pint.

The bar that becomes part of the evening

We bring the full pub atmosphere: LED lighting, darts and games. The bar is not just a place to get a drink. It is where your guests gather, relax and the evening takes shape. That is what a great pub does, and it is what we bring to your wedding.

Scales to your wedding, whatever the size

Whether you have 60 guests in a walled garden or 400 in a marquee, we build the setup to match. Tell us your numbers and your venue type. We will tell you exactly what is needed.

A signature cocktail for your day

We can work with you to create a drink named after you both, served at the reception, on the menu board, something guests remember. It is a small detail that turns the bar into part of the story of your wedding rather than just a place to get a drink.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does wedding mobile bar hire cost in South Wales?

The cost depends on your guest count, the drinks package, and how many hours of service you need. Most weddings in our area are priced on a per-guest basis for open bar packages, or a minimum spend for cash bar setups. Rather than a generic price list, we give every couple a personalised quote based on their day. Get in touch with your date, venue and guest numbers and we will come back to you within 24 hours.

For prepaid packages where the couple covers the cost upfront and guests drink freely, licensing requirements are usually straightforward. If guests are paying for drinks individually, a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) is required. As a licensed pub, we are very familiar with TEN applications and handle all licensing arrangements as part of your booking. You do not need to sort this yourself.

For summer Saturdays, as early as possible. Dates between April and September fill up quickly, particularly for 2026 and 2027. We can work with as little as two weeks notice if the date is available, but we recommend at least 6 months for any peak-season wedding. Early booking also gives us more time for the planning meeting and drinks selection.

When we plan your drinks package, we help you estimate quantities based on your guest count, time of day and event length. If your guests drink less than expected and stock goes unopened, we buy it back after the event. You only pay for what was consumed. It is the fairest way to plan a wedding bar budget, and it means you can be generous rather than cautious with your quantities.

Yes, and this is one of the things that makes the Coach and Horses setup different from a standard bar hire. We arrive early, set up the arrival drinks station before the ceremony ends, and have prosecco or your chosen drink ready as guests come through. It is a detail that lifts the start of the reception and your guests will notice it.

Yes. In the weeks before your wedding, we can contact your venue directly to agree setup access, power, positioning and last orders timing. Most couples have enough to think about without managing a conversation between two suppliers. We can take that off your plate completely.

Outdoor and marquee receptions are a big part of what we do across South Wales, Monmouthshire and the wider area. We bring windbreaks and weatherproofing for open setups. We are experienced with tipi venues, barn receptions, walled gardens and back-garden weddings. Let us know your venue type when you get in touch.

Yes. Every booking includes a full soft drinks range. We can also include non-alcoholic beer and alcohol-free wine on request. When we plan the drinks list together, just let us know your guests’ preferences and we will make sure everyone is looked after throughout the day.
